It didn't bother me too much, though I don't think he quite grasped that I was threatening to cut his unmentionables off and feed them to a dog. Also, when he talks about 'the change', he is referring to my armor swap to elite imperial. I reasoned that it was more imposing but alas he wasn't deterred by all the spikes and blades.

At first I was: >:l

Then I was: ;o

Also, it looked like he was more of a troll than some horny 13 year old.

Party leader before Finding Gadd + Finding the Bloodstone: "You have no self-heal. Bad build."
Me: "That's what monks are for. No need for me to stop fighting to activate a signet or something when I could be killing stuff."
*kicked*

I was running a standard DSlash SY build on my warrior. Never been in any trouble. Needless to say, I finished the quest/mission without a death in my party.

I've stopped criticizing people's builds these days. I've seen too many people with builds that have me shaking my head in amazement that have done HM masters/vanquish areas I would have considered impossible. I trhink it really has to do with the person's playing style.
I guess the old motto works for Guild Wars: "if it's stupid and it works, it's not stupid"

You can vanquish or complete HM missions with almost any build. Doesn't mean they did it quickly or with few/no wipes.

I have to agree with Shander. I was in a guild group doing a HM mission (I forget which one...jungle area maybe) and we brought along a W/Mo with mostly smiting skills. I took one look at his bar and cringed.

However, I must say that he was an asset to the team. He never died and was upfront doing a fair amount of damage.

Was it a good build? No Way!!!!!
Did it accomplish the job? Yeppers!

Nowadays I don't worry too much about builds. If it's an Elite area where I know the best of the best is required then I think the team leader needs to be a bit of a build Nazi, otherwise just make friendly suggestions and let it go.

I was pugging Tahnaki Temple (NM) with my warrior once and the team leader asked me to ping. I pinged a decent Triple Chop axe build and the team re-pinged a Dragon Slash sword build and said i needed to switch to that. A couple problems: 1) I don't have a sword. 2) My headpiece is runed for Axe. I mentioned that and said I was running an axe build. He kicked me from the team for not switching. That guy was an idiot.

Expertise

For each rank of Expertise, the Energy cost of all of your attacks, Rituals, touch skills and Rangers skills are decreased by 4%. Several skills, especially those related to Energy costs and skill recharge times, become more effective with higher Expertise.

i dont think so? i dont know how we pull it through, maybe ima badass at healing

Raven, I forget, were you along for the time when we nearly cleared Foundry with a warrior running 7 monk skills, one of which being Unyielding Aura? (and then we wiped because the Black Beast touch of arrghed our only monk and killed one of the NPC's.)

This, among many, MANY others:

No kidding, this guy was totally serious too. Elona Reach HM.
The party didn't even check his ping and they were 100% ready and willing to just go with it until I told our ele to look... Why even bother having people ping if you're not going to check stuff?

I've got a collection of these terrible builds now on my blog; this is actually #62.

I was in HA last week and we invited an assassin into our group. The party leader didn't bother checking his build so during the fight with the Zaishen we found out he was using Power Shot + Comfort Animal. I cried hard.

Some guy in Rata Sum last night was spamming that was looking for leechers (stupid enough all by itself) but that we was going to PAY them 1k each every time he stopped to merch. It was so stunned that I had to just call it a night.

My only hope is that he was actually compiling some stats to finally bury this whole leeching movement once and for all.

Healing breeze makes me want to choke people using it as a serious heal.

I don't HA, but I know stupid stuff like that is super frustrating. Sounds familiar to this guys' build I found when it was Nundu Bay zm day.

I left in the stubs on his name for lols, we should've expected something lame from him anyway - lots of errors in his name

I was like, it's not so bad, it could be worse. Charm animal is useless if people can read skills they'll know that. No volley and barrage on the sin is bad but at least he carries an elite. Oh wait, 0 critical strikes it CAN get worse. Plus 6 deadly arts for... nothing.

Well duh, monks are unreliable, and healing breeze is amazing at 5 attribute points. Why even have monks, every profession has self heal, I mean, why bring a profession that's only job is to keep the team alive and bring a self heal only meant to keep you alive for an extra 3 seconds.

/facepalm, no offense, think about it this.."why do zaishen missions/bountys asks for monk professions", something to think about everyday for zaishen mission/bounty, if you can;'t figure it out, that's fine.

edit:

this one is funny, a player asking for z-bounty runs and he gets the following replies.
